Reflect has implemented a new advanced search with the help of AI. It allows you to search your notes semantically without needing the exact words. You can chat with your own notes like a personal assistant, and use filters to narrow down the information.
When we began working on Reflect more than two years ago, I had no idea that AI would play such a significant role in Reflect, or in all our futures for that matter.
Today, we are releasing AI search capabilities within Reflect. This includes advanced search, semantic search, and chat with search results.
If you're not familiar with Reflect, we're a note-taking app that focuses on beautiful UX and simplicity. At this point, we have over 3,400 paying customers.
This release is, quite honestly, the most substantial since we first launched Reflect. It's a tremendous breakthrough because you can now retrieve information quickly from your notes and summarize it with AI.
For instance, you can ask the AI to summarize everything you have written over the last week, or to compile entries related to your journaling topics or a specific category. You can request the AI to list all your friends who reside in a particular city or to bring up links related to specific research you are conducting.
It is one of the most introspective and powerful tools I have ever encountered. And I'm glad to get it in more people's hands.

It is frictionless to store your thoughts. Retrieving it later is fast and simple. In the meantime my thoughts are end-to-end encrypted and in sync on my devices and the web-ui.

How do you manage PII or other sensitive information shared in these notes? I know some have a fear that external LLMs will store and even train their models with info that shouldn't be public.

Reflect is just an amazing app and amongst AI being added to lots of things and not necessarily being useful, it's AI features make sense. I'm very addicted to the Whisper powered voice transcription. It's super accurate and extremely accessible via lockscreen widgets. I have no doubt the AI assisted search will also be phenomenal. There are lots of good apps in this space, but Reflect is at the top and a keeper. It's well worth the investment to have access to a product from this amazing team. Thank you Reflect team.

The best note-taking app just got a lot better. I've been using Reflect for several years and this upgrade really does some incredibly smart things with AI. Ask questions of your notes. Summarize and go deeper with your writing. Capture notes from anywhere with the best AI voice transcription available. Everything is also insanely fast. As soon as you open Reflect on desktop or mobile it is ready to capture anything you want to throw at it.

Reflect is a killer notes app for me because of 1 specific thing: It's insanely simple (like Apple Notes), but under the hood is a lot of power. This release further adds more of that power.
I use Reflect for personal notes in the same way Id use Apple Notes, but I also use a separate second graph for my rough work notes. Switching between graphs is instant (unlike Notion or other tools) and the navigating notes is super fast with search, now it seems even faster and more accurate!
Great work Alex and team. Building a notes app is usually a bad idea, given how many good free ones there are out there and how crowded the space is. But you managed to pull it off. I'd be very sad if this product disappeared and I had to go back to one of the other existing apps.
