I built Reflect around a problem I kept seeing with journaling: a journal can preserve years of your life, but it doesn't actually understand how any of those years connect.
You can write about the same person, goal, place, decision, or life change dozens of times—and every new entry still starts largely as a blank page.
I wanted something different.
Reflect is a private AI journal designed to build context over time. It can remember relevant parts of your story, reflect on what you're writing in light of your history, let you ask questions across previous entries, and help surface recurring themes and connections.
One of the features I'm most excited about is Life Map. It turns the people, places, memories, life events, goals, and themes in your journal into a visual network so you can actually explore how pieces of your story connect.
I've also tried to make journaling flexible—you can type, record voice entries, or scan handwritten pages rather than having to change how you naturally journal.
Reflect is still evolving, and that's part of why I'm excited to share it here. I'd especially love feedback on:
• What feels genuinely useful versus gimmicky
• Whether the memory/context concept comes through clearly
• What you'd expect from a journal that is meant to become more useful the longer you use it
