The Problem: If you've ever dealt with real estate data, architecture planning, or property investment in Spain, you know the pain. You have to navigate fragmented government websites, rely on digital certificates that constantly crash, and fill out endless forms just to check a single cadastral reference.
The Inspiration: I decided to build the tool I desperately wished existed for my own day-to-day work. I wanted something as fast and intuitive as a modern search engine, but for complex public data.
How it evolved: We started by unifying the standard National Cadastre, but our approach completely evolved when we realized the real data "black hole" was in the independent regional tax agencies (Haciendas Forales). We rebuilt our backend using a highly optimized SQLite architecture to successfully integrate 100% of the territory—including the notoriously difficult regions of Navarra, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, and Álava—into one single interface.
