I built RedesignPDF for people who deal with hard-to-read scanned PDFs: faded photocopies, gray scanner backgrounds, noisy scans, old forms, receipts, and archived documents.
The tool helps darken faded text, clean scan backgrounds, reduce visual noise, and improve readability before exporting a cleaner image-based PDF.
It is not meant to be a full OCR editor or a precise text replacement tool. The focus is narrower: making scanned PDF pages clearer and easier to read.

Does it keep the original page layout intact, or does it sometimes need to guess at what got lost in the scan?
Finally something that handles those stubborn gray backgrounds from old scans. Tried it on a 90s document and the text actually pops now without looking over-processed.
How does it handle really stubborn scans where the text is super faint and the background is almost black, does it still manage to pull out something readable?
