Redaxa
Protect sensitive data before using AI — local, no cloud
Redaxa helps you safely use AI with sensitive data. It extracts and processes text from emails, prompts, PDFs, and documents to detect and remove confidential information — completely offline. No cloud, no data leaks.
Hey Product Hunt
Need help from AI, but can't share sensitive data?
Emails, contracts, customer data… too confidential for AI tools?
So what can you do?
Redaxa solves this.
It runs locally on your PC and automatically detects sensitive data like names, emails, addresses, IBANs, and more.
Then you can handle sensitive data in different ways:
• Replace it with [REDACTED] for simple redaction
• Replace it with generic labels (e.g. [PERSON], [EMAIL])
• Or pseudonymize it using consistent placeholders (e.g. [PERSON_1], [PERSON_2]) so relationships stay intact
You can also:
• Extract and process text from PDFs, DOCX files, emails, etc. safely
• Use a built-in dictionary (always redact) and excludes (always ignore)
• Add, save, and reuse prompts to attach instructions when sending text to AI tools
• Work fully offline — no cloud, no data leaks
Curious what you think — happy to answer any questions 🙂
One thing that surprised me while building Redaxa:
Many people want to use AI tools at work, but company policies or privacy concerns often make it impossible to share real data.
That’s why I focused heavily on local/offline processing.
