Recorder Hero
The free recorder teacher that listens as you play
Recorder Hero is a free recorder teacher in your browser. Play a note and it hears it, shows the fingering, and leads you from your first note to real songs: 21 lessons, 21 free songs, free play that knows what you're playing, and music games. In 14 languages.

Recorder Hero is a recorder teacher that lives in the browser. Children (and grown-ups) play their real recorder, and it listens: it hears each note, says kindly whether a wrong one is the breath or the fingers, and shows which holes to cover. Turn on the camera and it shows the holes on your own fingers. The camera and the microphone stay on your device; nothing is recorded or uploaded.
It goes one note at a time: 21 lessons, with a real song after every few notes, and 21 free songs in the library that you practice note by note (the notes wait for you) before playing them in time. When there's no lesson today, free play shows every note you play on a staff and tells you which song you're playing.
The core is free, in 14 languages. Song packs (carols, anthems, children's songs from around the world) are how we keep it going.
I'd love to hear what you think, especially from parents and music teachers.
