Hi Product Hunt! 👋
My first app in 2014 grew to 70,000+ users. Recopy is number 8: a clipboard manager for Mac, iPhone & iPad that saves everything you copy and finds it in seconds.
What makes it different:
🔒 Password managers are auto-excluded — even their browser extensions. API keys & card numbers get flagged.
☁️ Syncs through your iCloud. No account, no servers — the privacy label literally says "Data Not Collected."
🤖 Built-in MCP server: Claude can search your clipboard. "What was that endpoint I copied yesterday?" just works.
Free to start · $9.99/yr · $29.99 lifetime.
🎁 Code PRODUCTHUNT in the app: lifetime for $14.99 until July 31.
I'm here all day — what's missing from your clipboard workflow?
the automatic exclusion of password manager clipboard data, even from browser extensions, is a really thoughtful touch that shows you actually thought through real privacy concerns rather than just slapping on a generic disclaimer
One thing I'd love to see is a quick-toggle way to pause clipboard history when I'm sharing screens in meetings. Even better if it could automatically pause during detected screen sharing or presentation mode so nothing slips through accidentally.
The code detection and password manager exclusions are a smart touch—clipboard managers always feel risky otherwise. Curious how the MCP server plays with Claude in practice.
The MCP server idea is genuinely clever. One thing I'd love: a quick toggle to temporarily pause clipboard capture during screen sharing or demos, so I don't accidentally leak code snippets into my clipboard history when troubleshooting live.

Who hunted Recopy?
Recopy was hunted by Tobias Schümann. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
