Hi Product Hunt, My camera roll has a few hundred screenshots of recipes in it. I have cooked maybe five of them. Every one was saved with real intent and every one died in a scroll, because a screenshot isn't a recipe — it's a picture of one. You can't scale it, you can't search it, and you can't follow it one-handed while the other hand is covered in flour. Recipe Savr closes that gap, and it doesn't much care where the recipe came from. A screenshot of a reel you saved at midnight. A photo of a page in your grandmother's cookbook, in her handwriting, with the corner she folded. A recipe site that makes you scroll past nine paragraphs about Tuscany. A link a friend sent you. A caption, an email, a text. A cookbook you photographed in a shop because you weren't going to buy it. Or you just type it in yourself, because sometimes that's faster. All of it comes back the same way: ingredients, steps, servings, structured and ready to cook from. Every import opens in the editor before it's saved, so nothing is filed away behind your back. Three things I'd point at: Several photos become one recipe. A reel split across three screenshots, or a cookbook spread that needed two shots, is read as a single document rather than three fragments. Getting this wrong is why most tools of this shape feel broken. Cook Mode is built for wet hands. The screen doesn't sleep. Steps swipe. Any time mentioned in a step becomes a timer in one tap — "bake 25 minutes" grows a Start 25 min button, ranges time the lower bound because that's when you go and look, and timers run on wall-clock time, so a phone that slept doesn't come back ten minutes behind. It's yours. No account, no sign-up, nothing synced. Your recipes live on your phone and I could not read them if I wanted to. The only thing that ever leaves is what you hand over to be read, and only when you ask. Two honest limits. Instagram and Facebook links can't be read by any server — they're login-walled — so the app says so and offers the screenshot route instead of failing in a way that invites retrying. And reading photos costs real money every time it runs, so that comes as a monthly handful for free, with Pro for more. Everything else is unlimited and never counted: writing recipes by hand, opening and scaling and cooking everything you've already saved, and importing from any site that publishes structured data, which most dedicated recipe sites do.
