We built this for the gap between guessing and booking a DEXA scan.
Most body fat estimates need either a clinic, a set of calipers and a second person, or a scale that swings with how much water you drank. We wanted something you would actually repeat: one photo, about ten seconds, and a number you can track over weeks.
Two things we decided early and will not change:
1. Nothing is stored. The photo is analyzed once and discarded. There is no account, so there is nothing to attach it to. We do not use images for training.
2. No subscription. The first scan each day is free. After that it is a one-time credit pack, and credits never expire.
It is an estimate, not a measurement — the site says so on every page, and it says DEXA is better. The free US Navy tape calculator is there for anyone who wants a number without a camera, unlimited.
