Most audience tools give you demographics and leave you guessing. ReachDex does the opposite. Paste your product URL and, in about 2 minutes, discover who your ideal customers are, where they already hang out online, and what to say to them. It's a practical go-to-market playbook for solo founders and indie makers, helping you find the right people before you spend a dollar on ads.

Hey everyone 👋 I'm Dinuka, the builder of ReachDex. This came from a mistake I kept making over and over. I'd spend weeks building something, have a great time doing it, and then get stuck on the hardest question: who actually wants this? I'd launch to whoever was already following me, send a bunch of cold messages, maybe run a few ads, and then wonder why nobody cared. The problem usually wasn't the product. I was just showing it to the wrong people, in the wrong places, and saying the wrong things. So before every launch, I started doing the same process manually. I'd go through the product, figure out who would realistically pay for it, search Reddit and smaller communities to find where those people spend time, and write messages that didn't sound like obvious promotion. It worked, but it took me almost a full day every time. ReachDex is basically that process, packed into about 2 minutes. You paste in your product URL, and it gives you: 🎯 A profile of the people most likely to buy your product 📍 The communities and subreddits where those people already hang out ✍️ Outreach messages written specifically for those communities The whole idea is simple: figure out who you're selling to, where to find them, and what to say before spending money on ads. The first version of ReachDex only generated customer profiles. Honestly, that wasn't very useful by itself. Knowing who your customer is sounds nice, but knowing exactly where they are and having something ready to send is actually useful. That's what the product became. You can see a sample report for free, and a full report is a one time payment of $29. No subscription. I'd really love feedback from other builders. Does the customer profile feel right? Are the communities ones you would have found yourself? And are the outreach messages good enough that you'd actually send them? Feel free to tear it apart. I'm here for the feedback. 🙏

How does it actually figure out where people hang out online, is it scraping forums and socials on its own or pulling from some kind of existing dataset?

Finally tried this with my little side project and it actually pulled up a subreddit I'd never have thought to check, which already feels like a win.

Curious how it actually pulls the audience data, is it scraping public signals or using some third-party API under the hood? And does the 2 minute playbook update if I run it again a week later, or is it a one-shot snapshot?

ReachDex was hunted by Dinuka Nilupul. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
