ratioDB
Storage prices per TB, tracked like a stock ticker
Compare hard drive, SSD and RAM prices by price per TB on Amazon. Refreshed every 2 hours, with a daily TB index, 90-day lows, watchlist and compare. No account, no cookies, no ad banners.
I'm Engin. "diskprices dot com" has been my go-to for years whenever I bought storage, and it inspired me to build my own take on the idea: price per TB first, but with a stock market twist.
What ratioDB does: • Sorts every listing by price per TB (1 TB = 10^12 bytes, multipacks divided by total capacity) • Shows a daily TB index per category, the median of the 10 cheapest new offers, with 7, 30 and 90-day history • Flags 90-day lows and lets you filter for them with one tap. An earlier low only counts if the price held for at least 2 days, a tip I got on Reddit • Labels new, used and refurbished on every row and never mixes them in the index • Watchlist and compare without an account, shareable by link • 3 themes (Terminal, BIOS, Datasheet) and TB, TiB or GB as unit • About 2,000 offers across hard drives, SSDs, memory cards and USB, RAM, optical discs and LTO tape
How it's built: a static Astro site on Cloudflare, prices refreshed every 2 hours by a scheduled job, so pages load fast. No account, no cookies, no ad banners. The amazon links are affiliate links.
It's the first version and I'd love your honest feedback: Which country should come next? And which drive specs matter most to you (CMR or SMR, NAS or desktop, warranty)?
