Hi Product Hunt, I’m Ben, and I made Rate.fm. I really wanted a Letterboxd for music: a place where I could rate the records I listen to out of ten. I couldn’t find any very pretty iPhone apps, so I made one in SwiftUI and UIKit for iOS 26.
What it is:
Song and album ratings and reviews
A listening diary with Spotify and Apple Music integration
Critic scores and reviews from 19 publications
Lists and folders
A player synced with lyrics and Genius annotations
Live Activity and widgets for seeing what your friends are listening to
It’s free. There’s an optional $2.99 a month support badge.
If you already have your listening history somewhere else, there’s one tap to import it from Musicboard or Spotify. I’ll read everything, so let me know what’s missing from the app.

Rate.fm was hunted by Ben Sage. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
