Insurers in emerging markets get claims on WhatsApp, in the customer's language. RapidOS's AI collects the details and photos, files the claim with a PDF and lets staff take over any chat. Self-host free (AGPL-3.0) or use the hosted version.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Raph 👋 In Kinshasa, Lagos, Nairobi or Manila, people message a business on WhatsApp before they would ever call it, fill in a web form or install an app. Insurers still mostly handle those messages by hand: an agent's personal phone, damage photos lost in chats, claims typed up days later. RapidOS is my fix, starting with insurance claims in the DRC: • The insurer connects its own WhatsApp Business number and its own AI key (Gemini, OpenAI-compatible, or a local model with Ollama) • The assistant greets the customer and asks only for what's missing. It collects photos and documents, reads the claim back for confirmation, then files it with a PDF • It replies in the customer's language: 15 languages, including French, Swahili, Lingala, Portuguese and Arabic • Staff see every conversation, can pause the bot and take over, and status changes are sent to the customer on WhatsApp • One customer per WhatsApp number, with all of their claims in one place The whole product is open source (AGPL-3.0). You can run it on your own server with one `docker compose up` and keep customer data in your country, or let us host it. Claims are only the first use case. Underneath, it's a WhatsApp support desk that banks, telecoms, utilities and clinics in emerging markets could use too. To be upfront: English and French are reviewed, and the other languages are machine-translated for now. If you speak Swahili, Lingala, Hausa, Yoruba, Amharic or the others, a review would help a lot. I'd love your feedback, especially if you've worked with the WhatsApp Business API or in customer support in emerging markets.

Who hunted Rapidos?

Rapidos was hunted by Raph Mwanza. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
