Radar Chat
P2P messaging; scan for people and things around you!
Radar discovers people and things around you, lets you chat securely, share media, and stay safe — even when the internet is gone. No phone number. No email address. No data collected. Ever. No advertising. Ever. The Android app provides a radar-style visualization of nearby peers, devices and things. Explore local traffic, aircraft, drones, marine traffic, points of interest, local photos, phones around you and much more!
We all have a portable multi-band radio in our pocket, with a high res screen, Bluetooth, WiFi and internet connectivity. We even have maps at our fingertips but we're oblivious to what is around us. Even in a crowd an introvert can be lonely (speaking from experience!). With all of this technology there is no way to connect to people around us without first going up to them and asking: "May I have your number?" My Radar app can solve this.
And I've never come across a live map that shows traffic, aircraft, boats, earthquakes, floods, wildfires and other incidents all in one place. That would be a useful and powerful tool, and bring maps to life. Such a prepper's dream could also provide a hub for all emergency alerts and information consolidated all in one place. Radar does this.

Who hunted Radar Chat?
Radar Chat was hunted by David Lomax. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
