Come birthday or Christmas, I had no idea what she actually wanted and she'd get frustrated when I bought the wrong thing or something someone else had already bought.
I looked for an app that could just hold links from any store in one place and let family coordinate without spoiling the surprise. Everything I found either locked you into one retailer, required everyone to make an account, or was built for weddings and felt overkill for a birthday.
So I built it. Quokit lets you paste any product link from any store into one private list, share it with family, and let people quietly claim gifts so there are no duplicates and no spoilers. The tech evolved from a simple link saver into full gift coordination once I realised the duplicate gift problem was just as painful as the scattered links problem.
My wife now has a list. I know what to buy. Marriage saved.
