I'm Noah, an 18-year-old founder from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. I built Quitslip while interning at MNP (one of Canada's largest accounting firms) and studying Business Accounting at Cambrian College. The idea came from a simple frustration — every time I paid somewhere I'd get handed a paper receipt, look at it for half a second, and throw it straight in the bin. Multiply that by 400 billion receipts printed globally every year and it's an embarrassing amount of waste. So I built Quitslip. Merchants place a small NFC sticker on their counter. Customer pays, taps the sticker, and their full itemised receipt appears on their phone in under a second — automatically categorised by spending type. No app download. No email. Just tap. What surprised me most building this: — The Square webhook integration was faster than expected — under 0.3 seconds from payment to receipt ready — The 30 second expiry timer for privacy turned out to be a really important UX detail — People's reaction when they tap the sticker for the first time is genuinely magical We're live at quitslip.com, accepted into NORCAT's Innovation Mentorship Program, and onboarding our first merchants in Northern Ontario. Would love feedback from the PH community — especially anyone who's tackled merchant adoption for hardware-adjacent products. That's our biggest challenge right now. Tapped the sticker at the store and the receipt popped up before I even put my phone away, kind of wild how fast it is.

Tried the demo. I like how frictionless the NFC flow feels—no app download, no QR scan, just tap and get the receipt. That's the kind of small UX detail users remember. Congrats on the launch, Noah!

Tapped the sticker at a coffee shop yesterday and the receipt popped up on my phone before I could even put my wallet away. No app download or sign-up hassle, which honestly feels like the missing piece for stuff like this.
