It's been a while since I was in college, but this beats punch cards by a mile! What are stores currently doing? Is Snackpass doing something adjacent?
I worked on something vaguely similar (mobile app and loyalty program for wine shops) and I recall a key hurdle was getting the shops to 1) buy in and 2) get their customers to download your app.
I know @sodio worked on something similar at Fivestars - maybe he has thoughts?
