I was getting really annoyed with constantly emailing PDFs to myself or opening WhatsApp Web just to move a quick file from my laptop to my phone.
I stumbled across this site calledQuickshares.onlinerecently, and it’s actually incredibly useful. It basically works like a self-destructing AirDrop over the internet.
Why I found it helpful:
You just drop a file on the page (it allows up to 50MB).
It instantly gives you a QR code and a 4-digit PIN.
If you scan the QR with your phone, it bypasses everything and just downloads the file immediately. Or you can type the PIN on any other computer to grab it.
You don't have to create an account, and the file automatically deletes itself from the servers after exactly 5 minutes (or once you download it).
The UI is also weirdly satisfying to use with these cool doodle animations.
Thought I'd share since it’s completely free and has saved me a lot of friction this week when I just need to move a file fast!
