I got so annoyed by the lag breaking my momentum that I decided to vibe-code my own solution. The goal was simple: build a web utility that feels as instantaneous as a modern IDE.
The result is QuickConvertUnits. It runs entirely on a local-first architecture, meaning there are zero server round-trips for the math. We built a "Live-Math" engine so the numbers convert in real-time with every single keystroke you make. It is heavily cached, aggressively fast, and designed with a clean UI to get you your answer and get you back to your flow state immediately.
