Most AI assistants help you get things done. Quest takes the time to understand your personality, values, ambitions, and motivations. More than just remembering conversations, it's a personal AI advisor that helps you reflect, navigate difficult choices, and make decisions aligned with who you are. Not another assistant telling you what to do, but a thoughtful advisor helping you find your own path.

Hey Product Hunt I’m Vincent, co-founder of Quest.

Why we built it

For a long time, I was jealous of people who had a passion. I found mine by accident. I grew up in the French countryside, spent way too much time on the internet, and at 20 I discovered Kickstarter: founders on camera, inventing crazy cool things and convincing people to make them real. That’s when I knew I wanted to build. I was lucky to find my quest.

But when I look around, I see a lot of people with real potential who haven’t found theirs, people close to me included. Talented people stuck in the infinite feed, in a life that feels kind of meh. That’s what I want to fight, and that’s what Quest is for.

How it works

Quest is your most personal AI. It lives in iMessage, studies you like a profiler and builds a full memory of you. Its job is to advise you, not to assist you: a secret helper in your corner for all your (side) quests. You stay in control, and our iOS companion app lets you edit and correct your Memory anytime.

What makes it different

  1. Transparency or nothing. You cannot use Quest if you're not giving full access to your agent so it can learn who you are and personalize its advice.

  2. Phone use. Quest has its own always-on Android phone, and can install apps like WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok.

  3. Fluid UI. Quest builds tailor-made iOS mini-apps to help you on your quests. Even iMessage will feel different.

  4. Mothership of AI assistants. Quest can manage your Instinct and Muse on your behalf, giving them only the minimum viable context.

  5. Self-improving proactivity. Quest is ambient and reacts to anything, not just your emails. Its proactivity keeps evolving: give it feedback, or let it learn from its mistakes.

Get started

Download Quest: http://start.new.quest and connect your apps. Quest does the rest, right in iMessage.

Comment highlights

one thing i'd want to know is how much control users have over what Quest remembers. Personal conversations should always feel private.

i like this idea sometimes you don't need an AI to give you answers, you just need something that helps you think clearly and understand what you really want.

i like that question focuses on helping people understand themselves instead of just completing tasks. Sometimes we need a fresh perspective more than another productivity tool.

i wonder if question can notice when someone's goals or priorities change over time. People grow, and their AI advisor should be able to grow with them.

privacy seems especially important for a product like this because users may share very personal thoughts. How do you handle and protect that information?

curious how it handles career decisions, like switching fields at 30. most advice there is either "follow your passion" or "play it safe" and neither actually helps

The idea of finding "quest" for people is really cool! What are the most surprising way people are using quest so far? Congratulations on your launch!

Who hunted Quest?

Quest was hunted by Ben Lang. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
