Quendian records meetings directly on your Mac, transcribes them locally or with your chosen provider, and turns them into useful notes. No meeting bot joins the call, and you stay in control of where audio and transcripts go.

Top comment

I built Quendian because I wanted useful meeting notes without inviting another bot into every call. The app captures microphone and system audio natively on the Mac, then lets you choose how transcription and summarization happen. You can keep the workflow local, bring your own API keys, or use Quendian Cloud. The durable record stays on your Mac and your meetings remain searchable and exportable. The first release focused on making the full recording-to-notes loop reliable: capture, speaker-aware transcripts, summaries, exports, and privacy controls. I would especially value feedback on the onboarding flow, the balance between local and cloud options, and what would make Quendian earn a permanent place in your menu bar.

Who hunted Quendian?

Quendian was hunted by Brandon Kaplan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
