Quantral is an investment ideas app built on alternative data. It tracks what finance X, Reddit, YouTube and Substack are saying, what members of Congress are trading, and which company insiders are buying their own stock. Every company gets a 0-100 score, and every voice making a call gets graded on their real track record. Strategies turn the same data into model portfolios you can follow and compare against the S&P 500. On iPhone, Android, the web, and inside Claude and ChatGPT.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Maya, co-founder of Quantral.
Before this I was a product designer at a KYC company, not a finance person. I started investing on the side a few years ago, followed the most confident voices in my feeds, and lost money doing it. What frustrated me most is that nobody kept score. The account that was wrong last month posts the next “sure thing” with the same confidence.
So we built Quantral, an investment ideas app based on alternative data. It reads what the investors we track are saying on X, Reddit, Substack, YouTube and Korean investor blogs, adds Congress trades and insider buying, and turns it all into one 0-100 score per stock.
Every call gets checked against what the price actually did. If someone has been right, their next post counts for more. If they’ve been loud and wrong, it counts for less. Simple as that.
Along the way the product grew past social sentiment. It now covers Korean stocks, Strategies (rule-based 10-stock model portfolios tracked against the S&P 500), and an MCP server so you can ask Claude about any stock.
It’s not financial advice. It’s a faster way to find ideas worth researching.
I’d love your honest feedback, especially on what’s confusing. I’ll be here all day answering questions 🙏
