I'm the unemployed developer behind QR.OPTIC. I had too much free time, so I built a QR code generator with 16 templates, gradient colors, 5 dot styles, and a REST API — because apparently you need a portfolio to get a job, and this is my portfolio.
What it does:
- Real-time QR styling (dot types, corners, gradients, logo)
- 16 ready-to-use templates (4 free, 12 premium via Patreon)
- Export PNG / SVG / PDF up to 4K
- Link tracking with daily analytics
- REST API with cache-first architecture (SHA-256 hashing)
- Dark mode because I code at 3AM
The stack: Node.js, Express, Tailwind CSS, Patreon OAuth, and zero Puppeteer — SVG is built directly from the QR bit matrix because I hate unnecessary dependencies.
The punchline: Still unemployed. But hey, at least the QR codes look good.
