Qood News
Sick of bad news? Real wins from every industry. Alpha.
A daily feed of launches, breakthroughs, openings and milestones, celebrating human achievement across every industry and scale. Most news optimises for outrage. Qood News covers what people are actually building and achieving: products, projects, awards, businesses. Science, architecture, fashion, tech, community. AI-classified to keep it substantive. Real achievement, not feel-good fluff.
Qood News started as a side project inside another app, a recipe aggregator that also needed a content crawler. Good news felt like a simpler place to learn: more consistent sources, clearer signal for what counts as a good story.
Somewhere in the building it stopped feeling like a learning exercise. Now it's the first thing I open every morning, which felt like a sign to keep going.
The core idea: not feel-good fluff, but real human achievement. A fashion house launches a collection. A solo dev ships v1.0 after two years. A city finishes a decade-long library. These things happen every day and disappear into trade press silos without the wider audience that would actually celebrate them.
It's still alpha. The crawler breaks regularly. About 15 of 70 sources are paused at any given time. But the feed is genuinely good and gets better every week.
Happy to answer questions about how the AI classifier works, where the stories come from, or where this is headed.

Who hunted Qood News?
Qood News was hunted by Christer Papanicolaou. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
