A free, permanently open-source roleplay core for FiveM, Roblox, and UEFN. Same concepts, guarantees, and failure behavior on every platform — written natively for each, never ported. Pre-release: the core is meant to stay stable, gameplay systems are not.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
QBCore has been around since 2021 and is one of the most-used roleplay
frameworks on FiveM. Its design has been effectively frozen for years — not
because it was wrong, but because it had no contract layer. Everything was
public surface, so everything became load-bearing, so nothing could move.
Users didn't build that box. We did, by publishing more surface than we were
willing to keep maintaining, with no mechanism for taking anything back.
This is the rebuild. GTA V Enhanced is the opening — legacy QBCore already
runs there, so there's no migration cliff and no deadline, which means it can
be done properly instead of quickly.
THE IDEA
Nearly every roleplay framework collapses four separate things into one
object. We split them:
• Principal — the platform account. Stable forever, authenticates, never plays.
• Player — the live connection. The thing with agency: connects, selects, controls.
• Character — saved roleplay data. Persists. Never moves, fights, or dies.
• Avatar — the native body. A FiveM ped, a Roblox Humanoid, a UEFN
fort_character. Spawns, takes damage, gets thrown away.
Once those are separate, a class of long-standing bugs stops being possible.
A Character can't hold a weapon, so owning an item and projecting one onto a
body are two different systems. Admin rights attach to the Principal, so
switching characters can never hand you server authority.

Who hunted QBCore?
QBCore was hunted by Joshua Eger. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
