Comment highlights

Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I’m the creator of PyForge (https://py-forge.com), and I’m super excited to share it with you today!

Why PyForge? As developers, we’ve all been there: you need a simple backend utility, mock server, or benchmarking tool, but to get it running you have to pull in a massive dependency tree, heavy Docker containers, or risk third-party supply-chain vulnerabilities.

I built PyForge to change that.

What’s inside? A vault of high-performance, standalone Python micro-utilities engineered strictly with the Python Standard Library — zero external dependencies, minimal memory footprint, and instant execution.

A few highlights from the vault:

  • MockForge: Zero-config API mocking with dynamic state.

  • ChaosProxy: Resilience & latency-fault injection for microservices.

  • ApiBench: High-throughput benchmarking with io_uring support, HDR histograms, and agentic tool-calling validation.

Instead of charging monthly SaaS subscriptions, PyForge is available via a $99 Lifetime All-Access Pass for developers who want permanent ownership of their tooling.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or questions! What micro-utilities would you like to see added next?

Thank you for the support! 🚀

PyForge was hunted by Alessio. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
