Is there a story behind it?
Currently in Medellin. This looks awesome! My girlfriend and I will check it out and join the community. I went through the app flow and first thought is - i don't know how many people are in the area of Medellin (for my travel). it'd be great to have an excited indication of who is nearby and what they are up to? Something like that.
I always like to see more targeted social platforms but I'm concerned about the safety or the abuse that could happen.
"Tell who you are and where you'll be", and "Add all your travel plans".
but the app looks neat and clean.
I'll be a part-time nomad this winter, and I'd love to use Punta to connect with others in the same locations! Getting realtime knowledge about a location from nomads who have been there before me will be incredibly helpful.
For a Digital Nomads like myself, it sounds like a promising app. It takes time to adapt to a new place and learn about local customs, so meeting other Nomads who have been around for a longer while.
Very cool! Would also be a neat feature if you could also get suggestions of coworking spaces in the cities on your itinerary.

I've been backpacking a lot back in the days, and though the most rewording is meeting locals, it's also super hard, since you need to stay in one place for a couple of weeks to really be able to get to know their habits. So if you're only staying for a day or two in one place, the only option you get is hanging with other backpackers. You've got a great idea here.
