Hi Product Hunt! 👋 ProteinYeti didn’t start as a startup idea or a business plan. It started with a personal health wake-up call. A little over a year ago, I was 41 years old, working full-time as a software engineer and spending most of my day behind a computer. A routine blood test showed me that I needed to take my health and fitness habits more seriously. I started training at home, later joined a gym, changed my diet, and focused on building sustainable habits. As strength training became a bigger part of my life, I discovered a surprisingly simple problem: I wanted to know one thing: “Did I eat enough protein today?” I tried many nutrition apps. Some were incredibly powerful. Some had massive databases. Some tracked everything. But they often felt too complicated for this one simple goal. I didn’t want to spend minutes logging every meal. I wanted something fast, beautiful, and encouraging. That idea became ProteinYeti.
