I'm Edgar, an indie developer, and I'm excited to share Protego with you today.
I built Protego because I switched to Safari on macOS and discovered there was no way to filter Reddit posts anymore (RES isn't available for Safari, and its development has stalled). As someone who loves Reddit but values mental well-being, I needed a way to filter out potentially overwhelming content.

Thank god someone made this - was about to quit Reddit because my feed turned into a Taylor Swift concert spam fest last week 😅 The spoiler blocking is clutch too, specially after missing that one GOT episode and having Reddit completely ruin it for me. Quick q - does it sync filters across devices? Would love to have the same setup on my work and personal Macs.

Love the idea of having a native Safari extension for Reddit filtering! The privacy-first approach is definitely a big plus. Have you considered adding custom filter categories or maybe a feature to temporarily disable specific filters? Would make it even more versatile for different browsing moods. This is a missing feature for Reddit for sure! Why did u only make it for Safari? Shouldn’t be aiming for all platforms??
I think that today on PH are far the best tools I have seen. I cannot remember the day when I bookmarked so many tools as "Interesting"! :D Wish you good luck.
