Hey Product Hunt, I’m the maker of Prompt Library.

I built this because I kept losing my “perfect prompt” between ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini and random notes. Prompt Library is a clean place to save what works, organize it with tags + collections, and pull it back instantly with ⌘⌥P.

The core workflow:

  1. Save prompts you want to reuse

  2. Organize with collections + tags

  3. Press ⌘⌥P to open the launcher, search, and insert a prompt into whatever app you’re using

A few details:
• Offline-first: everything is stored locally on your Mac (no accounts, no cloud)
• Model-agnostic: works with any AI tool since it’s just prompt storage + insertion
• Copy formats: raw text, markdown fenced blocks, JSON, and more
• Sort prompts by recently used, recently updated or alphabetical

I’d love your feedback on what would make this even faster or more useful. If you try it, tell me what your “must-have” features are.

This is cool, I instantly downloaded! I've created something similar, but instead it's a prompt creator and library for AI music generators. I plan to incorporate more flexibility allowing users to add their own prompts. Haven't yet considered making it downloadable since most of the AI gen tools are web based... it's something to consider... thx!

Honestly, my Apple Notes has just become a messy graveyard of half-baked Claude and ChatGPT prompts that I can never find when I actually need them. I love that this acts like Raycast specifically for prompts. The ⌘⌥P shortcut is exactly what I needed so I don't have to break my flow and context-switch just to copy and paste. Also, massive respect for making it offline-first and a one-time payment—it makes it way easier to trust with work-related prompts. Great job on shipping this!

Very creative and helpful. Saw the website and I was askin have you tested simplifying the hero section? The value prop might get clearer with one outcome-focused line. Hmm what d ya think?

offline-first and model-agnostic is the right call. i keep my prompts scattered between notion, markdown files and random clipboard history. the keyboard shortcut for instant insertion is what makes this actually useful vs just another notes app

I prefer a minimalist interface and a one-time purchase license. Does the platform support team-based collection sharing or syncing?

When I tried to open the free trial version from the Application, it prompted me that I couldn't open the app.

I like clean and simple UI and the one-time payment model!
Is there any way to sync or share collections with a team?

Is there any way for me to not have to write the prompt and off-load the prompting for ai to make it in real time whenever I need to use it?

Love the concept, I think we would need a similar approach in Starnus too + a good prompt builder
