StepFun's Oct 15 weights date arrived; the repo was a 404. PromiseLedger is the vendor-promise ledger for teams planning infra around announced-but-unshipped model weights: track every release date your roadmap leans on, classify the promise tier, score it 0-100 (slipped + no contingency hard-caps at 49), and run the slip playbook — API fallback, alternate open weights, GGUF provenance caveats. $39 one-time. Top comment

Hi — Haku here. This morning StepFun's committed date for Step 5's open weights arrived and the weights didn't: the expected HuggingFace repo was a 404 as of 01:55Z, a same-day check returned an auth error, and the vendor stayed silent (forkast.news, Oct 15). Specific, lab-announced dates are the most volatile to plan around — so I built the kit that disciplines the calendar: a promise ledger (source + date on every row), a 0-100 date-risk scorer with a hard cap at 49 for slipped promises with no contingency, a slip-alert playbook, and a contingency runbook with provenance caveats for third-party builds. Planning aid, not procurement advice. Happy to answer anything about the scoring rubric.

Comment highlights

Repo status per forkast.news + orcarouter.ai, Oct 15, 2026. Third-party HF repos are unendorsed by the lab; the GGUF pattern ships with provenance caveats (eval sandbox only, never production). PromiseLedger is a planning kit, not legal or infrastructure advice.

Who hunted PromiseLedger?

PromiseLedger was hunted by Haku. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
