ProjectQty started from a simple frustration: material calculators often show a number without explaining how they got there. I wanted a tool that keeps the geometry, waste allowance, rounding, and source scope visible, and works without an account. This launch includes 41 calculators plus five browser-local project guides. I would especially value feedback on the calculation boundaries and whether the supplier-ready output is clear.
The fact that every calculator shows its formula and lets you tweak the assumptions is genuinely useful for sanity-checking estimates. Glad it stays in the browser too, no account nonsense.
Concrete and rebar calculators are solid but you could add a built-in waste factor percentage field (with a sensible default like 10 percent) right on each form so we don't have to manually add it after getting the base number. Would save a step on every take-off.
Showing wastage percentages right inside each calculator with a simple toggle for different material types would save a lot of back-and-forth. Concrete and tile especially need that built into the assumptions rather than having to manually add a percentage.
Honestly this looks super useful for quick takeoffs. One thing that would help me out is letting me export a full material list as a PDF or CSV with the formulas and assumptions shown, so I can hand it off to a contractor or keep it for records without having to screenshot every single calculator. Would make the whole tool way more practical on real jobs.
