Professor OS is an autonomous robotics learning system that releases structured classes from fundamentals to advanced robotics. Each lesson combines clear theory, tested Python labs, simulations, generated teaching visuals, downloadable podcasts, and a class-grounded AI tutor. Unlike static courses, Professor OS continuously creates, validates, publishes, and expands its own curriculum—turning robotics education into a living learning operating system.

Top comment

I built Professor OS around a simple question: What if learning robotics felt less like watching disconnected courses and more like having a professor who continuously teaches, experiments, validates, and builds the curriculum with you? Robotics education is usually fragmented. You learn Python in one place, electronics somewhere else, control theory from a textbook, computer vision from YouTube, and simulation from another course entirely. Connecting all those pieces is often harder than learning the individual topics themselves. Professor OS is my attempt to change that. Professor OS is an autonomous robotics learning system designed to take learners from first principles all the way toward real robot autonomy through one continuously evolving curriculum. Every class can include: • Concept-first explanations • Engineering intuition and mathematics • Executable Python labs • Simulations and experiments • Generated teaching diagrams and visuals • Downloadable podcast lessons • A class-aware AI tutor for questions and doubts • Automatic technical and editorial validation before publication What makes Professor OS different is that it is not simply displaying prewritten course material. The system itself plans, generates, tests, reviews, improves, packages, and publishes its lessons. The long-term vision is much bigger: to build an operating system for learning robotics and embodied AI, where theory, simulation, software, hardware, experiments, and an AI professor all live in one environment. I’m launching Professor OS publicly while it continues to evolve. I’d especially love feedback from robotics students, educators, researchers, engineers, and anyone who has always wanted to learn robotics but found the traditional learning path intimidating or fragmented. What would you want an autonomous robotics professor to teach or do for you?

Who hunted Professor OS?

Professor OS was hunted by Vinay. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
