Product Hunt is indispensable as the place to see what's new, but with the introduction of Shoutouts (the products that power top launches), Product Hunt now has an incredible dataset of which products are most loved (20,000 Shoutouts and counting).
But the data is only a piece of the puzzle — to really make a call on which product to try or buy, you need to understand that product's category. We asked ourselves: Who are the absolute best people to paint the landscape of a product category. More often than not, they're active founders.

5. Lastly, and I'm just spitballing here, but what if there was a "Shoutout Challenge" where users have to guess which tools were used in a launch? Could be a fun way to engage the community and learn about new tools.
