Hey PH 👋 I built PRNotch because I checked GitHub tabs ~40 times a day. Design constraints: read-only (deep work stays in the browser), quiet by default (alerts only on state changes), and honest scope GitHub only, Apple only, macOS 14+. It uses the gh CLI token you already have, stores everything locally, and makes exactly one kind of network call.
Priced at $1 as a pricing experiment I'd love your take on whether that's smarter than free. Ask me anything, I'm here all day.
finally a use for the notch that actually makes sense. seeing ci status and review requests right there without digging through github feels surprisingly efficient.

PRNotch was hunted by Mahmoud Almahroum. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
