I spend my days building AI governance for companies. Which models a team can use, what leaves the device, who approves what.

Then I go home, and my kids are talking to the same models with none of that. PrivacyPal Family is the gap between those two things.

What it is

AI protection for households. It runs on the device, between your kids and the AI they already use.

Guardrails. You choose which AI tools they can use, and approve or block the rest.

Privacy Twins. Before a prompt leaves the device, sensitive values are swapped for realistic stand-ins. Their real name, school and address never reach the model, and the answer still works. This is substitution, not redaction, so the AI stays useful instead of returning [REDACTED] and a worse response.

Family Memory. What the AI remembers about your family stays on your side. You can view it, and you can erase it with a crypto-shred that is contract-tested, including an erase that lands mid-write.

Pal Agents (early access). Wellbeing Signal notices a conversation turning heavy and tells you. Answer Guard checks that answers are age-appropriate and blocks manipulation aimed at kids.

The rule underneath all of it: guardrails, not surveillance.

→ Parents get signals, never transcripts. Wellbeing is computed on the device, and only a mood label ever leaves.
→ Kids see exactly what parents see. There is no hidden parent view.
→ Zero-knowledge architecture. We never see unencrypted data.

What it deliberately does not do:

→ It is not social media monitoring. PrivacyPal Family is AI protection only.
→ It does not show you their conversations. That is architectural, not a toggle we left off.
→ It does not remove data from anywhere. Nothing pulls a value back out of a trained model, ours or anyone else's. This is prevention at the moment before data leaves the device, which is the only moment that gives you any leverage.
