I'm Rohit, the maker of Privacy Guard.
The idea came from something I noticed almost every day. Whenever I used my phone on a train, in a café, or in a waiting area, it was surprisingly easy for people nearby to see what was on my screen. Even when our accounts are secure, our screens can still expose personal information.
I started wondering whether software could help solve this problem, so I built Privacy Guard. It's an Android app that adds a customizable privacy layer to help reduce shoulder surfing and give users more control over their screen privacy.
This project taught me a lot about Android development, accessibility, performance optimization, and privacy-focused design. There were many challenges along the way, but seeing the app come together has been incredibly rewarding.
I'm launching today to gather feedback from the community and learn how I can make Privacy Guard better. I'd love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and questions.
