Most task tools are built for the week that goes to plan. Real weeks don't look like that — a client calls, a deadline moves, the board goes stale, and the work drifts back into chats and notes. Priomate is a task and project manager built for the messy week, not the planned one. Your day and your projects on one surface, no setup marathon. Built by two people. Open beta September 22.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Luca here. Priomate started with the founder Simon — he began building it before I came on board. He handles the engineering, I do design, brand and everything around it.
What inspired this
Giving up, basically. We'd both been through a handful of project tools, and it always went the same way: set up properly at the start, still maintained a while later, and then the actual work quietly moved back into chats and sticky notes. At some point Simon stopped looking for the next tool and started building one.
The problem we were actually trying to solve
For a long time we assumed we were just undisciplined. Then two things became obvious. First, the effort of maintaining a system goes up exactly in the weeks that get messy — which is precisely when nobody has time for it. Second, once a board goes stale it never comes back; from that point it's not a tool anymore, it's a graveyard you feel vaguely guilty about.
So the problem isn't that people need more features. It's that almost every tool is designed for the week that goes to plan.
Where we landed is two layers: your day, and your projects. A task in a project shows up in your day when it's due. No empty dashboard you have to assemble before you can start.
Where we are:
Open beta on September 22, waitlist is open.
One thing I'd genuinely love to hear: if you've abandoned a task tool, what was the actual moment? Not "it got too complicated" — the specific day you closed it and never opened it again. That's what we're trying to understand right now.
