Hey PH — maker here. Built this because every QR tool I found assumes a human clicking "generate" once; nothing treated it as something a store's own product-creation event should trigger automatically. printqr is that: an OAuth install, a webhook, and it's just handled from then on.
Fully built and live (real billing on both plans — direct-API Stripe checkout, and Shopify's native Billing API for the Shopify-installed plan) but genuinely zero outside customers yet — today's the first day I've told anyone outside my own testing that this exists. Would love feedback, especially from anyone running a Shopify store with a real catalog: does the auto-attach-to-product-image behavior actually fit how you'd use this, or is there a different attachment point (e.g. metafield, separate media) that would be more useful?
the bulk endpoint handling 500 codes per call is a smart move for catalog imports, saves a ton of API overhead. nice clean execution on something most people would overthink.
finally something that handles qr codes in the background instead of making me babysit each product. the shopify webhook setup seems clean and i appreciate that the free tier actually lets you see if it works before committing
finally something that handles the boring part automatically, hooked it up to a test shop and the QR codes just showed up on new products without me touching anything. the bulk endpoint is a nice touch for catching up old inventory.
Would love to see a small dashboard that shows which products already have QR codes and which are missing them so I can catch any webhook misses without checking the storefront manually. Also helpful if the bulk endpoint let me pass a list of SKUs and get back a matching JSON with the image URLs so I can write it straight into a CSV without re-parsing anything.
