I build things, and every time I wanted to show one off, the recording was the hard part. A raw screen capture looks flat, no depth, no focus, no sense of where to look. So I'd drag the file into After Effects, keyframe zooms by hand, fight with the timeline for an hour, and end up with a 40-second clip that still didn't feel quite right. For a 40-second clip.
That's a ridiculous tax on shipping. Most of us don't have a motion designer on call — we just want the demo to look like we do.
Prequel is what I wanted to exist. Record your screen, and the cinematic zooms are already there, it follows your cursor and your clicks, so the camera moves the way a good editor would move it. Backgrounds, padding, rounded corners, a camera bubble that doesn't look glued on. All native on Apple Silicon, so it's fast and the exports are sharp.
No After Effects. No keyframes. No plugin stack. Just a recording that looks like you spent the afternoon on it.
