Hey 👋 I'm Juan, I made Prepilingo.
Honest reason it exists: I'm from Colombia and I've been living in Austria for almost 11 years. In that time I've had to sit way more German exams than I'd like to admit — for residency, for work, sometimes just to feel a bit less foreign standing in line at the Amt. And it was the same problem every time. There are hundreds of apps that teach you "German." Barely any of them care which exam you're actually walking into.
Because telc, ÖSD, Goethe, ÖIF and TestDaF aren't the same test. Different structure, different scoring, different traps. Study without a plan built around the specific one you're sitting and you burn the thing you have least of before exam day: time.
So I made the app I kept wishing I had. You tell it which exam and roughly when. You do a quick diagnostic across all four skills — reading, writing, listening, speaking — and it builds you a daily plan that shifts as you go: more of what you're weak at, less of what you've already got.
It's not another vocab-flashcard app. It's closer to having a friend who already passed the exam sitting next to you, telling you what to actually do today.
