Filter Google searches to pre-AI content. Find authentic, human-written results easily

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Pre-AI Search after getting frustrated with how AI content farms have taken over Google results. As a developer, I was spending more time filtering through AI-generated noise than finding actual solutions. What it does: - Adds a simple toggle to filter Google results to pre-2023 - Helps find authentic content before AI farms took over - Works instantly with one click - No ads, no tracking, just filtering It started as a personal tool but after sharing on Reddit, seems like many others needed this too. Would love your feedback on what would make it more useful! P.S. If you're trying to do research, debug code, or find authentic content, just toggle it on and get back to actually useful search results.

I'm curious if there are any intentions to introduce products for additional browsers in the future?

I am a little confused. So this shows results the pre AI update and not the ones from 2024? If that's correct, isnt the search result outdated, assuming there would be some results that are genuine and non AI?

I’d like to ask if there are plans to launch products for other browsers in the future? As far as I know, the AI-generated spam in Baidu Browser is even worse.

Both amazing but also quite scary how we need a tool just to find human assets and content again.

AI is a threat to everyone's job, but Pre-AI Search is a danger to AI. 😏 Excited to see where this goes!

Great logic for helping us tackle the AI content challenge! I'm curious about this: is your filtering strategy mainly based on the time cutoff (which makes sense given ChatGPT's explosion in 2023), or do you also use AI detection tools/APIs? For example, if I set the filter to include 2024 content, can the extension algorithmically identify AI-generated content?

@oli_evans you're right with Google now being filled with AI-Generated Content and hence this tool is interesting. Congratulations on the launch. That said, would this tool support present day content eventually? That would be a deal breaker. And of course, what would be the accuracy as well? Some writers use AI to clean up or grammar proof their content while a good percentage is actually original. Most AI detection tools out there can't differentiate this sadly.
