I built PostSmith because I was tired of posting and getting almost no engagement. Less than 10 likes was normal for me. It was frustrating and honestly a little stressful. Many people feel the same way. You put your thoughts out there and nothing comes back.
My background is in media buying. I learned to research competitor copies to see what is working and what resonates. Then I would shape my creative angles and copies around those winning patterns. That is how I found winners for ads.
So I asked myself a question. Why not do the same for normal social media posts? I tried it and it worked. My posts started getting engagement three to five times faster across different platforms. Early users have confirmed the same results.
To build PostSmith, I scoured LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X and Reddit. I collected over 100 posts with massive engagement. Then I studied the patterns that made those posts work. Things like hooks, storytelling structures, emotional triggers and calls to action. Each platform is different and I factored that into the build. What works on LinkedIn does not always work on TikTok or X.
