Hi Product Hunt 👋 About a year ago, I realised my favourite screenwriting apps weren't free or cross-platform. So I decided to make one that was: Porcupine, a distraction-free screenwriting web app, designed to be approachable to everyone. Features include: - Automatic formatting - Drag and drop scene rearranging (just added as of v0.4!) - Autocomplete for names and scenes (just added as of v0.4!) - Stats (e.g. word count, lines per character, average scene duration, etc.) - Easy export as Fountain or PDF files - Dark mode - Support for Windows, Mac, Chromebook and Linux, no downloads or sign-ups required In line with my goal of making it accessible to all, Porcupine is a free and funded entirely by donations. love how easy it is to jump in and edit. I had a bit of trouble getting the character name to format into the middle of the screen, but otherwise worked nicely. Awesome you're giving it away, while Final Draft costs $200. Congrats on the launch! 🚀
The automatic formatting is a great touch @digitallyoli but I think a bit more customization with formatting options would be nice for those who want more control over their script's structure. Great work.

Oli, you are gold! :) It has so authentic vibe when creating screenwritings. The only thing that I miss is analog typewriter in the attic. What did inspire you to create this? Are you somehow in creative writing?
