I wanted my Mac's lock screen message to update itself. After searching for a built-in setting or app and finding nothing, I built my own.
Three modes: one that mirrors the existing functionality without making you hunt through settings, one that shifts by time of day, and one that cycles through quotes or messages you want to see.
I wanted it to be the kind of thing you set up and stop thinking about. Much like an actual porchlight - it's just there. Something small that makes your Mac feel a little more like yours.
