Plan your backyard pool before construction starts. Explore sizes, layouts, steps, tanning ledges, spas, decking, and more to see what fits your space. PoolPlanner is a simple visual tool that helps you make expensive pool decisions with more confidence — before you start digging.
I built PoolPlanner because planning a pool is a strangely difficult process. I experienced it first hand myself. A pool can easily become one of the most expensive things you add to your home, but during the early planning phase you're often making major decisions from measurements, rough sketches, Pinterest images, and builder proposals.
And small decisions have big consequences.
Should the pool be 6 or 10 meters long? Is the tanning ledge too big? Where should the steps go? WHat kind of steps do you really want? Will there still be enough room for furniture and landscaping?
I wanted a simple tool where homeowners could explore those questions themselves before anything gets built. PoolPlanner isn't intended to replace architects or pool builders. It's for the stage before that — when you're still trying to figure out what you actually want.
This is still an early product, so I'd especially love feedback from anyone who has built a pool, is currently planning one, or works in the industry.

Who hunted Pool Planner?
Pool Planner was hunted by Zsolt Kocsmarszky. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
