Hey Product Hunt,
I'm Vadim, and PomoFriends is a free Pomodoro timer with a social twist, I built it originally in 2020 as a capstone project, then rebuilt almost all of it this year because my skills (and standards) had grown a lot since then.
The idea: the Pomodoro Technique works, but it's a lot easier to stick with when someone else is watching. So alongside a solid solo timer (tasks, streaks, and stats), PomoFriends has focus rooms you can share with friends:
- Sync rooms — one shared timer everyone follows together
- Async rooms — everyone runs their own timer, but still sees who's focusing
- Chat between sessions with the other participants in the room
- A leaderboard, streaks, and a little garden that grows as you rack up pomodoros
It's free, has no ads, and works without an account, your data just lives in your browser until you decide to sign in.
