I'm Zaur, the maker of Pomofox.
I originally built Pomofox because I wanted a Pomodoro timer that didn't feel like another boring productivity tool.
Since the first version, it has grown a lot based on feedback from people actually using it. You can now customize your focus space with pixel-art characters, animated backgrounds, ambient sounds, alarms, colors, fonts, and more. There are also tasks and focus statistics for people who want to keep track of their work.
One thing that surprised me was just how much people cared about customization. Users kept asking for more backgrounds, characters, sounds, and ways to make Pomofox feel like their own, so that became a big part of the product.
The timer itself is free, and you can start using it right away.
I recently also made Pomofox Pro much more affordable at $1.99/month.
