Hi Product Hunt, I'm Eli, the maker of PolySub.
PolySub started from a problem I ran into while working on my Udemy course on Philosophy of AI.
I wanted to add subtitles in other languages to my videos, and I expected that to be simple. It wasn’t. The workflow felt fragmented, and most tools pushed me into a subscription model I did not need.
What mattered to me was not only speed, but also context. In areas like philosophy and cognitive neuroscience, vocabulary matters, and generic subtitle output can miss the meaning of the original video.
So I built PolySub around one idea: upload a video and create subtitles in other languages in one click.
I wanted a focused tool that makes subtitle creation simple and context-aware. With PolySub, you can generate subtitle files and create burned-in subtitles in the same workflow, without a monthly or yearly plan.
I would love honest feedback on two things:
