Top comment

Hi Product Hunt — I’m Hugh, the developer of POKOPIE. I built its browser compatibility check because "this emulator works in a browser" does not tell you whether a particular browser has the APIs it needs, or whether the device will perform well. The check runs locally and looks at WebAssembly, WebGL 2, IndexedDB, gamepad, fullscreen, and shared-memory support. It explains why each capability matters, and it is deliberately not presented as a performance benchmark: supported APIs alone cannot predict how every game will run. I would value feedback on the methodology and on any browser capability you think should be tested or explained differently.

Who hunted POKOPIE?

POKOPIE was hunted by Hugh Hao. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
